Our "Emmaus" Journey

Please read Featured Gospel:  Luke 24.13-35

Hanggang ngayon, TRENDING pa din…
/ “do you wanna build a snowman” /  “g ka ba ka-build a snowman”? /
… and the LATEST I guess: /”do you wanna be my boyfriend?”/
…iba’t ibang lyrics, iba’t ibang version,  pero iisa lang ang origin: that great movie FROZEN!
One time naisip ko, “mabuti pa ang pelikula, may TULDOK ang happy ending!”
1.       Alam ng mga character kung hanggang saan nila paninindigan ang role na pino-portray nila;
2.       Malinaw ang time-line kung kailan “melted na ang pagiging FROZEN ng STUBBORN-HEART”;
3.       Identified ang scenario na “paid-off” na ang effort at sacrifice ng isang “OLAF” who never gave-up convincing himself that: “some people are worth melting for…”4.       and most importantly, may “closure” na “hindi pabago-bago”: ‘yong TOTOONG may REALIZATION NA NAG-SINK-IN sa pagitan ng isang “Anna:Elsa” relationship: “Only an act of TRUE LOVE CAN THAW A FROZEN HEART”!
 Madalas kasi kesa minsan, kung anu-ano pa ang hinahanap natin!
We keep on looking around, we keep on searching for other source
which will give us “that feeling which we want to feel” ;
But the truth is … “hindi natin totoong alam kung ano pa ang gusto nating maramdaman”;
And it’s quite sad -- na sa totoo, “hindi natin alam kung ano talaga ang hinahanap natin”
Kasi, hindi natin alam kung ano at KUNG SINO ang meron tayo !
 Sometimes we are like those two “disciples of Jesus” in this gospel. Hopes gone, a stranger walked with them; but not until Jesus vanished from their sight,  did they realize that it was actually Jesus who had their hearts burn within them as he talked and explained the scriptures to them along the road.
 Unaware, we might also be going through an “Emmaus Journey” in our life --  when we are supposedly hopeful yet suddenly in despair because we’ve gathered sorts of “unmet expectations”, feeling “unloved” and a lot of justifications which make ourselves STRANGERS from the people who love us and whom we should love in return.
 Trending na ang paggawa ng sariling version ng istoryang si God ang producer and we are given the opportunity  na tayo mismo ang maging director kaya dapat we create a good VIEW,  examine the things that we regard important in our life and identify the scenarios which will give our movie a “happy ending”. “Tingin-tingin din habang may time …‘wag sana na “wala na ang KUNG SINO sa buhay natin bago pa mag-sink-in sa atin na dapat pala ay hindi ang material things na “kung anu-ano” ang mas minahalaga natin! Let us seek to be enlightened! #sunset

I can relate much coz I myself was captured and was enchanted by that movie, "Frozen". I also wished that I could freeze that happy moments in my life. Emmaus Journey is something new to me but after reading this blog, I can now name the kind of journey I am going through sometimes. Thanks for sharing this Mam Gail. <3

That kind of feeling we wanna feel but the truth is, we dnt really know exactly what we wanna feel more... specially when that particular feeling eventually dies down.. =(

Oftentimes we only learn through experience, when that person we wanted and dreamt of in our life for so long is gone, that's the only time when we realized that we should've let that person go. Now, its time to move on and learn that we shouldn't focus on the future. Focus on what we currently have and treasure it! ^^

There are times that we feel blissful and contented with what's happening in our life. We feel so grateful about it. We thanked God for it. Also, there are times that we see darkness. We face brokenness and emptiness in our heart. We long for something that we don't know. We feel so hopeless with the things going around. You even shed a tear. You asked, what's wrong to yourself. But there isn't anything wrong with yourself. God wants you to feel it so that you have a change of heart. For you to know, He could mend the shattered you and fill in the emptiness in you. He wants you to fully trust Him. So, whenever you feel despair of your "unmet expectations", God's NO is not a rejection. It's a REDIRECTION". ^_^

On the Road to Emmaus

Some people say "To see is to believe"...unless we see with our two eyes and we hear with our ears the things we wanna see and hear, we really don't believe or accept things easily...like the two followers who were going to a town named Emmaus,they were talking about Jesus rises from death....they were so busy so they didn't recognize Jesus at first until when they saw Jesus broke the bread and when they saw who he was ,Jesus disappeared....

Most of the time we are like them. So very busy with a lot of things around us...We don't hear that Jesus is knocking in our hearts... He wants to get in, he wants to be with us but we just focus on what we see around. Jesus is using His disciples ( people who are sharing the gospel ) to believe Him and have faith in our hearts although we can't see Him in person because He is a spirit...some of us never mind it... unless we prove who really is, that's the only time we accept the truth...

Thanks to the Holy Spirit who captured my mind and my soul.... even though I can't see Him personnally as of now I have faith within me that someday in His perfect time, I can see Him face to face forever....by His grace only.

If someone very dear left you for unreasonable reason, let him/her be. When I experienced this, I just cried coz I know in my heart that there is our Savior Jesus Christ who never ever leaves us nor forsake us ( those who accepted Him ). GOD will give us another chance to move on and level up our lives although we are alone.Jesus is with us all the time....
